Master Shantideva composed The Way of the Bodhisattva in the 8th Century CE, while studying as a monk at Nalanda University in ancient Magadha, India. This one day retreat will be based on this sacred text and completely focused on practices of loving/kindness and compassion. Lama Lundrup will offer special heartfelt, elegant and sacred instructions. The retreat will also focus on practical ways giving up on the primary historical enemy of love and compassion: egotistical self-interest. Shantideva means the angel of peace and participants will be invited into the great compassion of the teachings he shares.
This is a very personal account of his spiritual journey. He offers it in friendship to whomever might be interested. He speaks to us of a sudden flash of compassion that changed his life from one of self-cherishing to that of overwhelming concern for others. “And every action for the benefit of beings: Such is my delight and joy.”
Join Lama Lundrup for a heartfelt exploration of this great literary work by the great Bodhisattva, Shantideva.
